FAQ

  • Can I attend a Hackney Church location during the Covid-19 pandemic?

Whilst our churches are currently closed due to Covid-19 we’d love to invite you to be a part of Hackney Church Everywhere, our online church experience. Click here for more information.

  • Do you have a safeguarding policy in place for children and vulnerable adults?

Every person has a value and dignity which comes directly from the creation of male and female in God’s own image and likeness. Christians see this potential as fulfilled by God’s re-creation of us in Christ. This implies a duty to value all people as bearing the image of God and therefore to protect them from harm.

In line with Church of England guidance we have a comprehensive safe-guarding policy in place which you can access here.

  • Can I bring very young children to a Hackney Church service?

Of course! We welcome families with children of all ages and offer a range of activities through our Hey Baby and Kids ministries to keep children of all ages safe, entertained and engaged.

  • What do Hackney Church believe?

We believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again; He ascended into heaven, He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of the saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
