About the project

St John at Hackney, the iconic Parish Church of Hackney, is undergoing a multi-million pound restoration project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The work will improve access to this much loved community heritage asset for many generations to come. The church is Grade II* listed and was built in 1792, replacing the earlier medieval church building that dates to 1275.
